Paisa re Paisa

Some time ago i had a post on Paisa,Passion which was a result of my trying to set the priorities for both. During the
discussion/debate/introspection few questions came up. An interesting point that came up during this whole process was about handling the feeling of guilt which came in when you saw others in need even for basic resources.

The followingย  questions makes an attempt to trigger the thought process for those who have still not thought about it.

  1. How much money do you want to make.
  2. Why do you want to make this much amount of money
  3. How will be others in need benefited by your wealth.

There is no right or wrong answer here. These would be the answers you may have to give to your kids someday ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Your thoughts on this are welcome.

  1. Lets wait untill kids ask this question to us….. Just focus on how much money we can make…
I know in this profession we can not make much money untill went to onsite. :):)

Only people came from onsite can give comments …:):)

  2. Here is my 2 cents (not dollars ๐Ÿ™‚ ) on this –
    1. Try and make that enough sufficient money, that you are able to keep you personal gains and life happy.
    2. Answer in the first point, so that your personal life and gains are achieved.
    3. Not sure about all others, but our family would surely be benifited. May be others are getting benefit indirectly by tax, but I don’t think we ppl in IT are generous enough to make money for the all other ppl. Here, again better on us to decide till how much of money you would be happy to spent on other’s well being and you can donate or spend the same for others …. Ofcourse, you need big heart for the same ๐Ÿ™‚ ….

    1. Yes this exactly was one of the points i was trying to make. From my limited research i have come to a conclusion that we are a nation of poor givers as compared to United States. That does not mean that nobody has a “big heart” here but i guess we definitely need to improve on this part so that “paisa kaamane mein thoda mazza aa jaye” ๐Ÿ™‚ .

  3. If you feel so strongly about giving .. why don’t you give.. and incase you do, you should not discriminate those to whom you would be giving and hence you could start with giving me some .. You know where u can find me..
